Andrew McGregor
SBCU Program Lead
Retül Fitter since 2006
Head trainer and program lead at Specialized University Canada.
Andrew has done it all when it comes to the Bicycle industry, mechanic, shop supervisor, sales rep, customer service, warranty, marketing, and for the last 10 years SBCU instructor.
During the last 10 years Andrew has taught in Canada as well as internationally in France, Australia, UK and the US. He holds certifications from the Colorado University Sports Medicine and Retul.

4 years ago, Andrew was selected to be one of 4 S-Racing Fitters. S-Racing is the branch of Specialized that service Quickstep, Bora, Total Energies and SD works Pro tour racing teams.
Some of Andrew’s former students have gone on to work as National team mechanics and Fitters for gold medal athletes.
Aaron Dobie
Registered Physiotherapist
Retül Fitter since 2017
Registered Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach based out of Vancouver, BC. Aaron grew up playing all sports and cemented his passion for bikes at the age of 14. He started racing mountain bikes when he was 16, advanced through the various divisions, entered the pro/elite field at 19 and is now part of a multi-sponsored national team.

Aaron’s​ passion for bike fitting is based around the goal of keeping cyclists riding as they rehabilitate their injuries or area of concern. Plus, his strength and conditioning expertise ensures that riders have the capacity to handle the demands of their cycling discipline. Aaron is the performance coach to many top-level mountain bike and road bike athletes.

Since 2018, Aaron has worked on the UCI World Cup downhill mountain and enduro circuit as a team Physiotherapist.

Valérie Parent-Houle
Registered Physiotherapist
Valérie graduated from McGill University in 2013 with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science.
She is a registered physiotherapist and a member of the Ordre Professionel des Physiothérapeutes du Quebec.
Valérie has a strong interest in manual therapy and she focuses her treatments on pain relief and injury prevention. She has completed levels 1 and 2 in manual therapy and plans on completing further levels as well. She has been educated on the use of Rock Tape for different types of injuries and she has followed a class on the prevention of running injuries.
Furthermore, she completed two bike fitting classes along with the Retül training.
Valérie has always been involved in staying active and playing sports. From a young age, Valérie played competitive soccer and was part of the Quebec provincial team.
Currently, in the summertime, she road cycles and runs. As for the winter, she enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing. Her interest in cycling started 10 years ago when she started to road cycle.
She wanted to merge her passion for helping clients overcome their injuries and road cycling by venturing in bike fitting.

Spencer Pootz
Registered Physiotherapist

Spencer earned his Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and his Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta.
He has been bike fitting for over 10 years, and involved in cycling as he developed his education and physiotherapy career.
A former varsity competitive runner, he races Cat 3 in road racing and Expert level in cyclocross.
More frequently, he is an all-season commuter, weekend warrior on the mountain bike, and 70.3 triathlete. He has cycle toured across Canada and completed multi-week tours in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and Arizona.
As a physiotherapist and bike fitter, Spencer has worked with thousands of cyclists, ranging from commuters and recreational bike path cyclists to professional road racing cyclists and triathletes.

Jon Gabbai
Registered Physiotherapist
Jon trained as a physiotherapist in Manchester, UK over 15 years ago.
He has vast experience working in physiotherapy, including in professional sports for Manchester City Football Club, Bora Cycling, and Triathlon Canada.
Jon loves triathlon and has been a keen supporter of local and international partners in the sport.
As a physiotherapist and bike fitter, Jon has worked with some of the best in the industry, including a former 5th in the world at under 23 level and one of the few men to break the 8-hour Ironman record.
Jon truly enjoys working with anyone, from those that are brand new to cycling, to folks that are getting into triathlon all the way to athletes aiming to achieve personal bests in races !

Dr. Samuel Dupuis
Chiropractician
Retül Fitter since 2021
Samuel graduated from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in 2007 with an honorable mention for his academic results and various mentions as a student-athlete with the UQTR Patriotes.
Samuel has a keen interest in sports injuries and their rehabilitation. He is passionate about biomechanics, particularly in a sports context. He has also taken several courses in sports therapy, taping and ergonomics to complement his practice. He has also been a trainer in several sporting events and has followed various sports teams (volleyball, Crossfit, soccer, triathlon, tennis championships, etc.).
A fan of cycling and endurance sports since 2010, Samuel participated in the triathlon world championships in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2019, several Ironman 70.3 and 2 Ironman including the prestigious CanadaMan in 2022. He also started mountain biking in 2022.
Combining his passions for triathlon and sports chiropractic, Retül fitting was the perfect choice. He took his first training in 2021 and he continues to learn about the subject. It can do road, gravel, triathlon and mountain bike fitting. Its primary goal: to meet your expectations in terms of comfort, injury prevention/correction and performance on the bike!

James Dyker
Retül Fitter since 2021
With decades of experience, a commitment to continuous learning and a deep passion for the work, James is unmatched as a bike fitter in this market. He has fit hundreds of riders over the years, from weekend warriors to Olympic level athletes. By asking the right question, drawing from his experience and using the Retul protocol he is able to make a valuable difference and help his clients reach their goals in comfort and performance. His knowledge, passion and ability to connect are a huge asset to anyone who gets to spend some time with James in the Retul Premium fit studio.

James is a familiar face in the local race scene. He has raced road, time trial, cyclo-cross, gravel, mountain and fat bikes. He also coached for 12+ years with Kids of Mud, a local learn to ride and race mountain bike club. These days you are more likely to find him, riding with local clubs during the week and out exploring new roads on his road or gravel bike on the weekends.
